- The Amaya Shearling checks all the boxes; the Spanish Merino shearling is incredibly soft and luxurious keeping you cozy in the coldest of temperatures while feeling remarkably lightweight. And, of course, the silhouette is profoundly flattering; the diagonal v-shaped lines draw your attention to the center of the coat and not to the sides. Even the pockets are placed thoughtfully toward the front of the coat. But most importantly, the shearling throughout the body and inside the sleeves is shaved down (without becoming scratchy or any less soft) to ensure an elegant fit- one that allows you to wear a sweater underneath without feeling like an overstuffed sheep. We left the elements of the longer shearling fur in a narrow column inside the front lapel as well as inside the cuffs and along the bottom hem line.
