This jacket is made from a blend of washed cotton and abac. Abac comes from the banana plant, and is used to make lines for ships. Although it's sturdy enough to moor a ship to its dock, with a special washing process you can make it quite soft. By combining these two materials, Kiton has created a jacket that has the look and feel of cotton, but is a little stronger. This jacket is full of little details: a drawstring waistband, hacking pockets, horn buttons and a covered placket. It also has pocket details on the inside for travel, with passport and wallet pockets. The best details, however, are on the collar and sleeves. Under the collar is suede, with the Kiton logo perforated into it (complete with the signature red dot above the "i"). On each sleeve is a suede elbow patch highlighted by hand-sewn details that stretch from shoulder to cuff. As if that weren't enough, each piece of fabric is dyed, allowing you to choose from a variety of colors in the made-to-measure collection. This is a truly special jacket.
