The Wigmore is a classic Edward Green shoe often complementing well pressed business suits. Having said that, we think it is equally at home with flannels and cords. The elastic strap behind the front flap ensures a great fit whether on a high instep or a regular foot. We do this shoe in burgundy and dark oak burnished calf skins in D width on the 202 last. Some customers used to the 82 last are able to go down half a size when trying on the little roomier 202 last. The sizing scale includes both British and American sizes, and a U.S. size 10 is expressed as 9 1/2 / 10. Edward Green continues to make each pair of shoes individually with traditional hand craftsmanship at their factory in Northampton, England, as they have done since 1890. Shoetrees included.

He soon developed a reputation for making the finest shoes available to buy, a reputation that prevails today. The Edward Green Dover is a Derby style shoe with open lace on the facing of the shoe befitting particularly well a foot with a high instep. The make of this shoe style calls for a hand-sewn apron and toe seam. This is accomplished through the ancient art of sewing with a pig's bristle, a painstaking process that takes years to perfect. The 606 last is slightly square with a roomy fit and is cut for a D width.
